Win2k and Me Networking Question

I did some searches and all the problems here seem to deal with broadband sharing or connecting two comptuers together. I think my problem is a bit different. I am on a school LAN and I have two computers hooked up to two seperate ethernet ports. They both can surf the net and otherwise do everything that is needed. However, neither of them can access network neighborhood nor be seen by other computers or each other. One is a Me and the other is Win2k. I put them both on the same workgroup but right now that doesn't even matter since they can't see ANY computers in the network. HELP!
 
Okay I got it and now they both have the ability to share folders. But they still can't see the network or each other.
