Win2K and Laptops - multiple lan configs?

Skaven

One of my friends just got a new Vaio laptop with Win2K pre-installed. Is there any way to set up two different lan configs using the same NIC?

For example:

He is at home and has it set up for his home network (192.168.0.10/DNS etc..) on his 3Com PCMCIA card.

When he goes to work later on that day, he disables his home config, and just enables his work config.

Is there a way to do this? When he clicks on "Make New Connection" he only gets these options:
Dial-up to private network, Dial-up to internet, VPN connection, Accept incoming connections, cable/IR connect

How do you add another LAN connection without adding another NIC? Or is this even possible?

Thanks in advance, you guys kick arse!
