WIN2K and ISA

Just got WIN2K yesterday (for $25, I love being a student). Anyway, I am trying to reinstall my modem, which is a perfectly preserved fossile from the days of ISA. Windows just refuses to detect it, and just looks the other way. Are there known problems with installing ISA devices in WIN2K, or do I just need to keep trying? Thanks
