Win2k and GeForce2 MX problems.

I installed a new GF2 MX card in my computer. I booted into 2000 and installed the drivers that it came with (v. 5.3x). Then I logged on to the net to download the newer drivers. A couple minutes of surfing the web and I got The Blue Screen and my system rebooted. I couldn't get back into 2000 with out going into safe mode. So, booted to WinMe, downloaded drivers, booted safe mode in 2000. Installed new drivers, works fine. BUT... when I'm online, (dial up), after a few minutes, the computer crashes...Blue Screen, reboots. I thought it might be IRQ conflict, but I don't have any conflicts. Any suggestions?

(I do have DX8 installed)

I had a similar problem but more severe. Do you have the Plextor Manager 2000 installed? I found that this sh*t was the cause of my BSOD all the time... even on a fresh W2K install. After several fresh installs, I narrow it down to the Plextor Manager 2000. First, I thought it was my SB Live driver and my 3Com NIC.

I figured it out... I neglected to uninstall those wonderful ATI drivers. I'm unsure why my computer reacted the way it did, but everything seems to be fine now.

Thanks,
