Win2k and Be6-2 problems with udma66 controller

I'm having some problems with my udma66 controller on my be6-2. I ocassionally get errors/warnings like this

The device, \Device\Scsi\HPT3661, did not respond within the timeout period.

Is there someway to extend the timeout period or has anyone found a solution for it. Any help is appreciated.
 
I have the latest drivers for the udma66 controller v1.25 and it's a udma66 hdd so I don't think that should be a problem.

Does anyone else have this problem or running 2k on a be6-2?
