Hey everyone, just can't seem to figure out this really irritating problem. Wondered if anyone here might have a solution? I am running win2k, with autohide on the taskbar so its not always taking up space. I am an avid user of aol instant messenger. And no matter what version i run in win2k, if i receive a message, It will unhide my taskbar, and won't re-hide until i have dealt with the message. It is very aggrivating to say the least especially if i am reading something, and don't care to respond to the IM ASAP :) Is there anyway to make it so it doesn't unhide the taskbar, just makes the noise and blinking? Thanks for all your input.

hmm, my best guess is that you should emial the IM people and tell them about this problem, more than likely its a bug.

well i think the reason why it un-hides is becuase it is blinking the window in the task bar... see if you can disable that, and just leave the sound. just a suggestion. dont know if it will help.
