Win2k all messed up

I was running dual monitors and then I installed SP2 and everything got funky. The OS is still operating properly but the colors are all messed up. So I ditched the second monitor and things are still screwy. The icons are colored wrong and there is a small white square in the top corner of my desktop. I'm not sure how to fix it, can I run the repair thing on the CD or something?

wait...I just fixed it. I turned the option "show icons using all possible colors" off and then hit apply and then turned it back on again and it fixed it...weird.
