How's that for a title, eh? 😀
OooooK...here's the situation, I've been asked to put together a server for our small office. The boss-man wants to go with a 1Ghz T-bird on an ASUS A7V133 w/2 WD 40GB 7200rpm drives running @ RAID 0 off the motherboard.
The hardware has been purchased, so changes in hardware are not options at this point, either.
Now, I know from goofing around with Win2K Pro on my home system (which has an ASUS A7V in it), that I was unable to figure out what files Win2K wanted for the Promise controller, and I ended up installing the OS and then the drivers were installed after the fact.
I need to know what specific files Win2K AS is going to need from me upon boot. Knowing that, then I can create the proper floppy to insert when it asks me for the drivers. Failing that, does anyone know if I can configure the RAID controller before install, run the Win2K install, and then install the Promise ATA/100 drivers after the install is complete??? It seems like that would work fine, but I'd rather ask and sound stupid than try something stupid and totally FUBAR my NTFS file structure or something...
