win2k adv server dual boot question - need help quick

Hersh

Senior member
i have WinMe installed on C right now
and I want to dual boot with Win2k Adv Server...

i can't get the comp to boot fromt he CDROM drive
boot sequence has been changed to boot CDROM first but it doesn't work

my question is...
can I just run the setup from WinME right now and make Win2k advsrv clean install itself in the D drive?

or should I boot from a boot disk and install w2k advsrv from outside of winme?

thanks

hmm... now the situation has changed a bit...
i ran the setup (clean install) from WinMe.. and i checked the box for me to specify the installation partition...

it rebooted and came up with the boot screen asking to run either the w2k adv srv setup or ms windows...

i selected w2k advsrv setup, but then after a minute or so... it comes with some kind of
BOOT_INACCESSIBLE or something error...

it said if this was the first time i was seeing the screen, i should reboot

and if it was the second time, then i should check for any corruption/virus in the drives AND remove any hard drives I installed lately...

well, i just added a slave HD, and i wanted to installed w2k adv srv in the D: drive and keep winme in the C drive...

can anyone help me plz?
thanks, any info would be appreciated!!!!!!!
john
