win2k-95 peer to peer

pinhead

Senior member
win95 desktop, win2k laptop need to share each others printers. I can ping each pc from the other, they're hooked up to an smc barricade to share a dsl line(dhcp running) so the connections are good. I figure I'm missing something small, haven't done a peer to peer with 2k before. They both have the same workgroup name etc. Any help or ideas?

Guide says it all. Make sure you've got an account set in 2k.

BTW, I've found that "seeing" other comps using network neighborhood often fails if the machines aren't running 24/7. NET USE becomes very handy in such situations.
