Win2000ME upgrade?

I have a 133Mhz 64MB Ram and 2 Gig harddrive and currently running Win98SE. I want to upgrade (or maybe wipe 98 and clean install) to Win2000ME. Although my pc spec is not great, it is adequate for ME according to the system requirements.
Does anyone have any similar experience with a pc spec like mine?? Does it have any negative impact on performacne??

probably not...

i installed it on a pc with a P-166, 48 mb ram, 4 gb hd, and it doesn't go so smoothly for me. It boots up alright, and shut down is fine too, but i really think that Win95 is MUCH faster on it and better for it than WinME is. You r better of with that.

However, i have also installed ME on a P2-350, and it works like a charm, so i do think that the older original pentium 1's aren't that great for it.

hi there Jeff444,,,,
I know there is a crack for winme which enables to install
a the OS on a PC on a low config like urs........
And yes it will definitely be much slower than 98
and it occupies a lot of HDD and the system Restore is a real
hog........

I wouldn't advise it.

If you do decide to do it, DO NOT upgrade from Win98SE. Format and do a clean reinstall. The upgrade option is pitiful, and can often hose your system.
