Win2000 startup problem

I just used Partition Magic to make a new primary drive, but left the partition with the OS as active. Now when I start up Windows 2000 it gets stuck at "saving your settings..." The hard drive spins at first but then stops, the blue bar in the dialog box is still moving and the box jumps as if it is going to keep loading every once in a while but then comes up again.

Any help?
