Win2000 Security problem

Hey all, I have somehow managed to set the security options on a directory to read-only for everyone, as in only the read checkbox is ticked.

Because of this i cannot delete the directory or any files inside.
This directory has over 500Mb of programs that i need to remove and when i try to remove it i get an access denied error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS: I am logged on with the administrator account and still cannot delete it.

easy 🙂

you need to login as admin,

right click on that dir, security tab, advanecd, owner, click administrator name and click the replace owner on subcontainer.

after it's done, go ahead and apply security to your folder and add administrator with full control in there. You might need to click on advanced tab in the security tab and reset child properties.

Delete it after you're done.
