Win2000 router still not working right!

Hey all. 2 days ago, I asked if there was any way to use Windows 2000 Advanced Server as a router between my cable modem, ethernet card, and wireless adpater. Someone siad that Win2K server had router stuff built in, and I found it. After enabling it, I could send pings and traceroutes between the WinXP system connected with an ethernet cable, and the WinME system across the house connected with a wireless network adapter. I could even access shared files and printers.

The problem is, the WinME system did what it does best (crash) and I had to reboot. When I did, I could still send pings and tracerouts across the router, but I could no longer access shared files.

Here's the output of ping and tracert from the WinXP box:

C:\>ping 192.168.1.2

Pinging 192.168.1.2 with 32 bytes of data:

Trace complete.

C:\>ping COLLECTIVE

C:\>tracert COLLECTIVE

When I try to map a network drive or connect to the printer, I get errors like "computer not found", "share does not exist", "route not available", and so on.

What happened, and how do I fix it?

Also, is there any way to share the internet connection with both subnets? I can only get one working at a time.

I had a problem with winme not being able to talk to my win2k router, I reformatted the winme machine, more like rename the windows folder and resintall the reinstalled winme. Make sure you get a good firewall suck as tiny if you're gonna use win2k as a router. You can also try MS ISA which makes life much easier.
