I have this major problem with shutdown on Win2k. When I shutdown or reboot my computer harddisk2 shuts down and then goes on again or it tries to shutdown it again and it does this about 15 seconds.
But it shuts down my harddisk2 even if I just reboot my computer. I know that my hd isn't broken or anything because it works fine and win98 doesn't do that. Please answer quickly! I don't want to shutdown or reboot my computer because of those sounds. It really sounds like win2k tries to damage my hd.
basicly I want to know where I can disable this harddrive shutdown thing. from biod perhaps? I don't want that win2k shutsdown any of my harddrives never.
My computer:
Celeron 500 Mhz
Motherboard: Abit BE6
Mem: 2x 128 mb DIMM 133mhz
Harddisk1: Ibm Deskstar 15 gb UDMA/66
Harddisk2: Ibm Deskstar 45gb UDMA/66 7200rpm (DTLA)
IDE0: Master CDROM
IDE1: Nothing
IDE2: Master IBM 15gb
IDE3: Master IBM 45gb DTLA
Lots of information missing but if you need to know more just ask.
Sorry about my bad english but english isn't my native language.
