WIN2000: NTFS or FAT32??? Which is better? Also what size partitions???

WIN2000: NTFS or FAT32??? What do you guys do? Also what size partitions??? I have a 40 gig drive.

NTFS is much more secure than FAT32.
NTFS cannot be seen by Windows 9x.
FAT32 can be seen by all Win versions.
FAT32 is supposedly faster, though I find that once it gets all garbaged up it runs slower anyhow.
