I have cable internet through GTE, and its a static IP where you have to specify the usual IP,Gatway, and DNS servers. I entered them in my TCP/IP properties in Network and rebooted ME and it worked fine and I coulkd get online(thats how im posting this) fine. I rebooted, loaded up 2000 and entered the same setting in My Network Places>LAN Connections>TCP/IP properties and entered the same info, rebooted, and Win2K refuses to recognize the conection(never dial a connection is also check in Internet Properties). I checked about 10 times making sure I entered it all correct, my NIC is working fine according to device manager, unplugged modem, rebooted comp about 5 times to no avail. When I open IE in 2K is says "No connection Available, Retry or Work Offline". Any idea whats up? This is Duel-Boot system BTW, Brand new everything working fine except this. Thx.

Okay, double check the settings so they match cause w2k is easy to setup. Do you have multiple network cards?
