Help!
I am planning on installing Windows 2000 on my K6-II 450Mhz machine (256mb ram). I made all 4 boot disks and restarted. It got through all 4 disks then said press enter to install windows 2000. So I did and it said something like "Hard drive not found, windows 2000 cannot be installed"
WTF!?
I have a 60 gig Maxtor drive that supports ATA100. My motherboard doesn't, so I use the PCI ATA 100 adapter that came free with it. I assume that is why the win2000 floppies couldn't find my hard drive....... but what do I do about it?
Should I open up my machine and run my hard drive the regular way until its installed, then hook it back to the PCI card?
Or just screw the whole plan and just reinstall win98se?
Thanks for any help/advice you can give.
