Win2000 How to open Links in Maximized Window?

I did a reinstall and now my new browser windows open in a 4"x4" window. I can't remember how to set them to open maximixed in Explorer 6.0
 
Open one IE window only. Maximize it. Close it.

That should do it. Or at least your IE windows will be maximized.
 
I tried that dident work. When i open bookmarks in my favorites and some web links or right mouse click and open in new window it is still a small window. there must be a setting some where
