Can I do a fresh install of windows 2000 without a floppy drive and a boot drive on a Tekram controller?
If I have the drivers on another drive, can I access them during setup?

Hmmm...I know for NT4, you need the 3rd party driver disk, but try it with a bootable Win2k disk, and see if the boot up contains the SCSI card drivers. If it doesn't then, you are going to need a floppy and download the boot disk from the Teckram site.

Yeh, try and see if the Tekram card has builtin drivers in 2k, if it does, youll. be able to install 2k with it/from it..I know my Adaptec 2940uw has 2k builtin drivers and installed fine

Thanks for the replys. I guess I should elaborate more. Yes I need to install the tekram drivers. When I am installing Win2000 and tell it I have 3rd party drivers, it looks by default at the floppy. I don't recall any option to look elsewhere. I suppose that I could attach a floppy while installing, but it seems that I shouldn't need to.

Sounds like you have to either install a floppy (to install 3rd party drivers for Tekram/SCSI) or IDE CDRom (to install from completely)
