I'm having this problem with my brand new system freezing up, when I try to play games, or random disconects from the internet. The system is: Asus A7M266 mobo, 128megs PC2100, Thunderbird-c 1200, generic floppy / and cdrom, IBM DeskStar 30.7gig 7200RPM ATA100 HD, Asus V7700 GeForce 2 GTS.
My games will freeze up for no reason out of the blue. (Asherons Call, Quake III, are the only 2 I play right now.) I have DX8a installed, as well as the latest Detonator 3 Reference drivers. One thing i did notice, was that there are 5 devices shareing the same IRQ. Those devices are: Asus Geforce 2, Asix Ax9914x PCI netcard, Microsoft ACPI complient system, and VIA USB Universal Host Controller (two of them). Any help or information would be apreciated.

AGP patch will fix your game problems. Your random disconnects from the internet are probably the fault of your ISP; there are no general modem problems with Win2K. Sorry about that one :(
