win2000 crashed, not able to boot up

I;m not able boot, gets half way and blue screen appear.Tried safe mode, last good boot, all the options available, nothing work. Hard drive is NTFS, is there anyway I can get in to retrieve my files.

reinstall win2k.

you should make 2 partitions... 1 for windows 2000 and 1 for everything else. in case you ever reinstall windows 2000 nothing will be messed up because it will install only to that drive.

you mean one partition in NTFS and one fat32
then the fat 32 will not have any security

be more specific about the blue screen...there's lots of info on it. Type it out for us here...especially the first few lines. Like ***STOP blah blah blah which usually ends on the 2nd or 3rd line with a filename.

It said something about not able to load drivers, and that I should reboot, don't remember exactly, when I get home from work I will try to let it boot from cdrom with 2000 disk in, if it doesn't work(problemly not cause of NTFS I will copy the error and post again
