Win2000 Boot Problem

Has anyone encountered a problem with Win2k where everytime it boots up and is about to go to the login screen, it crashes and executes a Physical Memory Dump? It has something to do with NTOSKRNL.EXE and this happened while I was watching a DVD movie. I heard a story saying that it was WinDVD that has compatibility issues with Win2k.

Another problem with Win2k is random reboot. I know this is a common problem with Win2k Professional. I was told that it was caused by Adaptec's EZCD Creator 4.0 but can anyone verify that? Supposedly, upgrading that software to 4.02 solves the problem but I still remember getting some random reboots, just not that often.

I've been running Win2K since the betas with EZ CD Creator and have never had a "random" reboot. That's not to say it doesn't happen, but I have not experienced it. Version 4.02 DOES clear up alot of issues with Win2K and I highly recommend you upgrade to the latest version.
