win2000 and dialup connection problem

This is very strange.
I installed win2000 pro, then
I installed driver for my modem
(3com pci hardware modem).

It works fine at first when
I created "Network and Dial up
connection". Everything works
perfectly.

Then somehow I restart windows but forgot
to disconnect from the modem first.
Now I can't connect, I clicked at
my dial up connection button, nothing
show up.
Hmmm, I reinstalled the driver, nothing
happened.
I removed my modem from the driver manager,
and add new hardware (modem) again, can't
get it to work. My modem is fine, but
something messed up with the OS or I dunno.

Whenever I start a make new dial up connection,
it stopped after the second screen (where
it shows a list of option, and the only one
available is dial up to internet, when I installed
this the first time, all options are available).

Strangest thing is I can dial up by clicking
the "internet connection wizard", it basically
set up a new dial up connection, but I can
only dial up whenever I set it to dial up
directly at that moment (after the setup).
If I don't set it directly atm, whenever
I click at the dial up icon, it won't
do anything (so basically whenever I want
to dial up I have to setup a new connection
everytime).
Second strangest thing is I fire up the connection
after I set it up, I can't disconnect, showing
this error :

<< Error disconnecting ..
It is not possible to disconnect at this time. This connection maybe using one or more protocols
that do not support Plug-and-Play, or it may have been initiated by another user or system account.

Anyone know what happens here ?
It was working perfectly before and now it
screwed up.

This problem only make sense if the modem
is missing the driver.

But I reinstalled driver, remove modem,
and add modem....still can't get it to work.

after several clean installs of win2000,
I finally found out the problem.
My modem doesn't like Parody Parrot (
applications from sblive mp3+ bundle);
whenever I install Parody Parrot, my
modem will not connect properly.
I think this has to do with shared library
or something.

Anyone know where I can get creative applications for
win2000 ? Since I can't install sblive driver
from the CD (won't work with win2000, I need to download
driver from creative website), I don't have these
applications : wave studio,
creative playcenter, creative lava, mediaring,
keytar, rhythmania. Where can I get these applications ?

Thanks
