Hello, I'm new to the boards and normally I don't make threads unless I'm really really confused and so I am.. I Just reverted back to windows 2000, installed the 128-bit encryption addon and all the critical updates and stuff.

Whenever I try to load an ActiveX (I think) my browser crashes and just gives me this message: http://img154.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img154&image=untitled5lv.png

Now, this happens when i go to windows update, try to online virus scan and all that. Ive used norton to scan for viruses and run ad-aware to remove all spyware so I dont think thats the problem. Ive also upgraded to IE6, and back and nothing seems to be working.

I restored my internet settings to default as well as changing my internet security settings for activex to always be displayed. Im not even sure if its active X or something to do with a proxy, if it has something to do with a proxy the problem might be that Im using ENTERNET 300 for my DSL since im using windows 2000 its required. If you can leave feedback on how I may resolve this issue it would be deeply appreciated, thank you.

edit: this also crashes my outlook express when i try to open it giving the same error, which leads me to believe it might have something to do with my enternet.

Welcome to the Forums!

Are you getting anything logged into Event Viewer?
There should be some clues in there.
