Info Win10's spotlight feature stops working if background apps is disabled, fyi

I'm pretty sure of this one anyway. I disabled the option in the Settings app for allowing apps to run in the background (I use Win10 for gaming plus a legacy app, and that's it), and I didn't notice for a while that the lock/login screen's picture hadn't changed, but then when I went into the Settings and and checked the lock screen settings, Windows Spotlight was selected but the preview was just of a grey background.

I ran some commands that win10forums suggested but that didn't help, and I read elsewhere that Edge has to be allowed to run in the background. For the sake of getting Spotlight working again, I enabled all background apps, logged out and back in again, then Spotlight started working.
