Hey all
I recently installed Win10 Pro and I'm curious about how decent the default Windows Defender is?

I've ran ESET for the past 6 years on win7, my sub ran out and I'm feeling a bit cheap/lazy this time around. So I've been letting Windows Defender do its thing.

Thoughts? Should I get off my lazy butt and switch back to ESET or let Defender ride?

Well I think ESET is better but you may be ok if you follow good security practices like having your regular login be a standard user.

<----This!! But if I may point out -- they did nothing to improve win10 Defender from previous versions!!

Well that's too bad, I would have thought they would have added some new stuff since it's a new OS.

I consider myself fairly cautious when it comes to internet usage.
This rig is primarily a gaming machine anyway. Going to roll with Defender for a while.

I wouldn't trust it myself. Probably no better than the base line scanner MSE. I just use the light weight Bitdefender Free. Sandboxie and Noscript as well.
