Win10 new install question

I know this must have asked a thousand times but I can't find an answer.

I picked up a Fujitsu W8P laptop from the company for cheap with no HD and no CD. I plug in an SSD and W10 USB ISO and hope it will pickup the W8 key itself, and not it didn't.

Without know the W8P key, without factory CD, is there a way to take advantage of the WIN10 offer?

Like if I use my w8p USB ISO to load 8 will it pickup the key?

Agree with Ketchup. Also, the company may well have stripped the laptop of any OS since it could not legally sell a copy of the OS they own. It didn't have to be Enterprise for that. I suspect you will have to provide your own copy somewhere along the line. Shop for the cheapest 7 or 8 and then get 10.

It has a W8P lic in embedded in the bios(?). My understand is if I have the factory disc it will pickup the key automatically, I will see if I can use a W8P USB image.

Most if not all retail computers that came with Windows 8(.1) have the key in the BIOS. So the easiest way to tell is to boot the computer and look in the BIOS. If you have a key there, you should be able to install Windows 8 with the iso in the link supplied and upgrade it to 10.

If you don't have a key in the BIOS, you might as well just buy a retail copy of 10 if you don't already have a retail copy of 7 8(.1), or an OEM copy that hasn't been used.

Download a utility to get your Win8 key from the BIOS, then if the Win10 install doesn't automatically activate (make sure you are "skipping" every time it asks you to enter a key), contact MS support chat and give them your Win8 key. They can generate a valid Win10 key and activate your Win10 install for you.
