Win10 logging without password does not work.

I'm the only pc user with Win10_64. I don't need any password every time, I want to cancel it completely. When you turn on a computer, restart, or log on. I also did this during the installation, according to the instructions availeble on the net. However, a few days ago, it has not only changed, but I even see 2 accounts, at the bottom left of the sign-in screen. With the same name, but with different passwords. One password works and the other user cannot log in at all, it reports a bad password. There are still only one user in the accounts and I'm an administrator at that. Can anything be done? I mean, to cancel all this mess, and after turning on the pc run up to without any password? I hope that this will not only solve reinstallation and return to Win7.

You need to add a registry fix to "disable the win 10 lock screen" .. more info is here (says win 8 but works on win 10)

The registry change worked fine on my Win 10 1709 box. I'm the only one who uses this machine, so the whole lock screen concept is useless for me.

Have you considered what would happen if someone broke into your home and accessed your pc?

Yep. My life is pretty simple, so the only things I need to protect are my passwords and my tax returns. All my passwords are in RoboForm, which uses a master password only I know, and my tax files are in a password-protected RAR4 file.

My hardware is worth a lot more than any information on the machine, and I have too much of it to easily cart away (not to mention the jungle of cords). I figure they'd grab my wife's MacBook Pro and run.

I always move my tax files over to an external drive, which is usually not powered up, unless I need to access something on that drive.
