Win XP64 - Replacement for Adobe Type Manager

T101

Senior member
I use quite a lot of open type fonts in my daily work. But as I have recently upgraded my rig to more memory, I have switched to XP64. Which went pretty ok, except that one piece of software that I have relied on for many years do not work; Adobe Type Manager.
So, if someone can recommend me some software that can replace that to allow me to use Open type fonts in XP64, I would be very grateful.

Ok... Noone that has any idea on how I can use adobes font packages (.PFB, etc.) on XP64? or has any suggestion on a software that can replace Adobe Type Manger on this windows version?

i thought that 32 bit programs install fine...they just need to go into program files (x86).

but wikipedia says its fully compatible with windows 2000 and xp 32 bit...not x64 bit. sorry man.

Well, most 32bit programs do.
But when I run the ATM installer, it says; setup.exe is valid, but for a machine type other than the current machine.

And then it will not go on to be installed. Any suggestions?

found this on a site (Neowin forums);

Sounds Likes an 16bit installer. i get round those by installing a program
called WinInstall LE on XP Home (i kept installed for some functions like
this or my TV card and some other hardware to work)

I install it then run a scan for my current settings. and it makes a note.
install the software and then scans for changes and makes an MSI installer
with the files so then it can be install on XP X64. but make sure the that
is to be installed is 32bit otherwise its a waist of time.

Its all done with a wizard so its not hard to use.

Will try that, and see if I can fix the installer.

Well, I was unable to do anything with that software. :
Could not figure out how it was supposed to work. Any suggestions?
