hi,
i am working on a dell system that has a 120gig hard drive. i don't have a whole lot of experiance with xp. but here is the deal, i blew this system to do a clean install for this guy. like i have always done in win 98, he wanted the drive partitioned in like 10 10gigs. well, i put the first 10gig, installed win xp, and never seen the option to have extended and logical drives. now i have a system that has only 10gig hard drive space, withwin xp on it. lol in order to get the rest of the drive partitioned, do i need to redo it, and pay closer attention to where i need to create extended and logical drives, or? can i do it now, without disturbing the operating system? or, do i need to use something like partition magic to get the remainder of the drive partitioned out? i just need to know what my options are at this point. thanks for the help in advance, and hope everyone had a great new year. thanks again DALE:confused:

Hi,
Right click on 'My Computer' and select 'Manage', then select 'Disk Management' this will show you your hard drive and remaining space.
You can then right click on the unallocated space and setup the rest of the drive.

Alternately, 'Control Panel' - 'Administrative Tools' - 'Computer Management' - 'Disk Management' gets you to the same place.
Hope this helps
