Win XP x64 ? (B-3790)

Wow (just installed) pretty cool can't believe how good x64 runs right now! Couple questions?

1. New to running 2 HD's I have master i.e Win XP & master slave is Win x64 XP, is there any other way other than going into the BIOS to switch from XP to XP X64?

2. The only driver I installed is the Nvidia driver, device manager is perfect from the get go everything is working so far are there any other drivers I should install?

3. Is there anyway to stop that macromedia from coming up all the time ?

TIA

1.) If you have neither drive as boot priority then it will give you an option at start up to choose the os.

2.) You will need to install motherboard chipset as well as video card drivers. Depending on your setup those both might be nVidia. (nForce+forceware)

3.) If you use the 32bit ie version you can install the plug-in. I don't know if there is a way to disable it in the 64bit.

1) From the OS that is on Primary Master: Right click on "My Computer" --> Properties --> Advanced Tab --> Click on Settings under "Startup and Recovery" --> Click on "Edit"

That will bring up the document that the Windows boot loader uses. Copy the line that begins with multi(0).... and paste it below. Now, change the title to "Windows XP x64" or something else descriptive, and change the "rdisk(0)" to "rdisk(1)" which tells the computer that the 64-bit WinXP is on the Primary Slave. Just make sure that under "[boot loader]" there is a line that says "timeout=xx" where xx is how long you want to have to choose your OS.

Before rebooting, go to Start --> Run --> msconfig, slide over to the "Boot.ini" tab, and make sure your changes show up. Rock the "Check all boot paths" button to verify that you put your 1s and 0s in the right places.

2) Yes, always install MOBO and video drivers from your manufacturer.

3) Get FIREFOX here:
http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

It's a full version 1.0, not beta anymore, so there's no reason NOT to use it! Dig the tabs, customizable search bar, live bookmarks (like AnandTech's), etc, etc, etc.
