Can someone help me with a problem my girlfriends conputer is giving her. The other day when turning it on XP wouldn't finish booting up, and continues. When starting the bios is fine but when XP tries it gives the message : system 32/drivers/fastfat.sys file ismissing or corrupt. Tried reinstalling windows but get the error : setupdd.sys Error Code 7.
Taking the hard drive and putting in my comp it starts up fine. Formatted and reinstalled windows on a old hard drive. Put it in her computer same message. Can't goe into safe mode or restore to last safe boot up. Computer in Compaq 7478 AMD Duron 550Mhz, 256 ram, 30GB HD. Any help would be appreciated.

Yep. That was the problem. Not sure why though. It was the correct RAM. Even used on of my Ram Sticks. Still crashed windows

Some motherboards are more sensitive to the quality and/or brand of the RAM, so a stick of RAM might work fine in one system but not another. Glad to hear the problem is solved.
