Win XP won't let me connect with a modem?

OK, heres the story, I built a tower to sell and was testing it with my old HD with WinXP on it, I added a USR 56k modem and tried to connect to the net with it (WinXP loaded the drivers) When I go to I-net connection wizard the option for "connect with modem" is greyed out?

The OS communicates with the modem (query modem) so I know it's working, whats the deal?

Any Ideas?

Did this work for you? I'm having the same problem after reinstalling XP.
I just changed motherboards and did a reinstall, nothing else.

Crap, the simple registry edit part didn't work so I have to edit the registry more and then reinstall again.
