Win XP Video driver changes....How to?

I have a GF3 Ti-500 and have the supplied ASUS 21.81a drivers installed. They are pretty bad, in my opinion, and I have heard that the 21.85's are one of the best driver sets to install. What is the best way to drop the ASUS drivers and update to the nVidias. I have done this in the past on my Win98SE machine, but I now have WinXP Home, and it looks totally different. Thought I'd ask first before screwing anything up. Thanks.

start/control panel/system/hardware/device manager/
exact same as 98se. just click on the card, properties, update driver. wont even have to reboot 😎 just hit rollback if you dont like them.

You don't have to go through the process of changing to "Standard PCI Graphic Adapter (VGA)" before installing new drivers as in Win98? Also, ASUS advises uninstalling their drivers before updating. What do I do, and when do I do it, to accomplish that?

Old method: Cont. Panel>>>System>>>Sys. Prop.
Click 'Display Adapter', highlight card and change to 'Standard PCI Graphic Adapter (VGA).
Go to 'Add/RemovePrograms' and uninstall nVidia (ASUS) Drivers.
Go back into Cont. Panel>>>System>>>Display>>>etc. etc. to install the new Detonator drivers.

New method: ???

My main point is that I need to uninstall the ASUS's first. Thanks.

I uninstall the old ones thru add/remove programs, reboot, then install new ones.
