Win XP to Win 7

Hiya!

Next week i'm making the jump to Windows 7. I currently have Windows XP Pro 32bit and gonna install Windows 7 Professional 64bit next week.

My question concerns savegames files in My Documents folder. I can copy those files on my D\ partition when i'll format the C\, but how can I copy them back in the right place after I reinstalled my games?

Other thing, since I partitioned under WinXP 32bit, will Win7 64bit view/recognize my D\ or will I have to format this partition too?

Thanks a lot!

Windows 7 will see the other partition just fine. And for your games folder, just copy it back over into the 'documents' folder on Windows 7 and it should be just fine.

Ok, everything went smoothly. I formated and installed Win7 Pro 64bit yesterday without any troubles at all.

Coming from WinXP Pro 32bit, it's a really nice change, great OS!
And it can use the 4gb of ram I have in my system pwahaha!

Thanks daveybrat for your post!
