I have Portable Firefox installed on a USB drive to take all my bookmarks and settings with me. The problem is that nested shortcuts don't work. If I create a shortcut in the main directory that points to a nested directory it ends up being broken most of the time. Why? Because the shortcut remembers the drive letter that it had at the time it was created and being a portable drive, its not always going to have the same drive letter. I tried deleting the drive letter in the shortcut properties but that doesn't seem to work. I'm guessing there's a trick involving a variable or a wildcard but 5 mins of google searching isn't showing it.
