Win XP repartition or delete

I downloaded virus software Quick Heal 6.03 from C-NET. It would not work. It kept turning machine off and on. Could not restore into safe mode. Reloading windows did not work. Same problem. I'm down to the big question.

In window Setup
*to create a partition in the unpartitioned space press C
*to delete the selected partition press D
Like in Indiana Jones in the Temple of Doom. Choose wisely or something like that

Now --- 58644 MB Disk 0 at IDO on bus 0 on atapi (MBR)
C: Partition 1 (Fat32) 58643 MB (45554MB) free.

I have driver disks for all. This is a new 10 day old 1900 AMD XP.
I welcome your suggestions.
Thanks George Note: I will always check software before download to see it will work with Win XP from now on!!!!!!!!!

wait, what is the question .. why are you using fat32 anyway?, well it doesnt matter, delete the partitions you have, and create a new one, if thats what your inquiring about ..

Thanks for the reply,
The mfg. of the computer put it in there like that. At this time I'm leaning to create a new partition. Hoping I can later access information from the orginal setup. That may not work. I hope my download did not damage things. We will see.

Thanks for the replies and looking in. I ended reformatting and installing Win XP again. System works until my next mistakes.
