Win XP question. How do I hide the my document on the desktop?

Hi, does anybody know how to hide the my document on the desktop under Win XP? Thanks...

Go to the start menu, right-click the My Computer icon there, and click on "Show on Desktop" to uncheck it.

well I did try that.... but I am using the classic start menu so the my document is still there. Does anybody else know how to do this? Thanks

In that case, try right-clicking the icon on the desktop and deleting it.

huahahhaha..... this is the most stupid question I've ever asked on AT. I know in Win 2000 I can't delete it. I didn't know in Win XP I could just simply delete it. Thanks... I was not thinking of deleting with the right click at all.
