I fix some peoples' computers and I have made them buy XP. They all buy the XP Home upgrade from Best Buy. Anyway, you can do a clean install with it as long as you have a 98 disk. You do not have to have Windows installed to install an upgrade. The upgrade is the cheapest route so as long as you have a Windows disk, you should get the upgrade.

And for you guys arguing about the supperiority of 2000 or=ver XP, XP have the Scanner and Digital camera wizard which is just frickin great and 2000 does not have it.
