I receive this message
driver_irql_hot_less_or_equal
and something fasttrak.sys
my MB is asus a7v333 with highpoint raid
I think it was something to do with the raid driver, does anyone know how I can fix this? or a place where I can get the latest driver for the highpoint. Thanks

There are no Highpoint devices on your board. You have Promise RAID, which uses the fasttrak driver. This driver is not allowing the system to go to sleep, try getting a new one from asus.com.

And that is why, several years ago, I learned never to use hibernate or standby. 🙂

Have a cookie then. Anyway, Suspend to RAM is great. Having your PC "boot" in 5 seconds is something you get used to fairly quickly.

One of the 1st things I do after installing an OS is
terminate/shut down/cancel/turn off all standby hibernates................
