Win XP Pro - do not want login screen

I recently set up Windows XP Pro on a computer on my home network. At first it was not forcing a logon, and it would just boot right up. Now, its requesting a password, and the only way I can log in is with the Administrator password.

how do I make it go back to the way it was?

Thanks.

Gary

A lot of times, Windows update will put on the .NET framework and that installs an account onto the machine. Look for an account named 'ASP .NET' and remove it. Then it should automatically log you in if you're the only user on the machine.

jamesbond is correct, but removing the ASP.NET account isn't necessary. You can certainly do that, and it probably isn't a bad idea, but the problem is you need to upgrade .Net Framework 1.1 to SP1. It should be a critical update on WU/MU/AU.

I think you can just reset the password to nothing. That is leave it blank when it ask for a new password. I did this and it doesn't ask me to log in any longer.
