Win XP....no boot disk, how?

Ok, I'm going to install xp home on a clean hard drive. Once I partition and format it and I'm ready to install win xp, I change my first boot device to the CD ROM right? because the xp CD is bootable. But were does the CD ROM get its drivers from? dont I need a boot disk for that?

The CD is bootable. Your BIOS knows how to talk to the drive so no additional drivers are needed. You don't need to partition/format first either, the WinXP setup will let you do all of that.

I'm getting the OEM version so it needs to be a clean install. But even if it doesn't I like partitioning and formating with seagates disk wizard software... Then installing the OS.

thanks for the reply.
