WIN XP no boot after AMD64 upgrade

I installed new mobo and AMD64 3000+. Now windows XP will not boot. Did I overlook the obvious?
New Surepower 350 PSU
ASUS K8N
AMD64 3000+

I'm using same harddrives I took from used an ASUS A7N8X rig, set BIOS etc...no joy ??

you need to reinstall the OS
