win xp login screen - totally flat blue or whitish fading in top left corner??

Hi,

Just wondering if this is my monitor or the log in screen...on all other screens, i can not detect a problem with my monitor (it is relatively new)...Anyway, in the login/bootup screen is the screen totally flat blue or in the top left hand corner is there some sort of fading going on...white into blue in a semi-circular shape...i know it sounds wierd and mite be my monitor...but as i said, i can't detect the problem on other flat screens...
