how do i find out my ip addy? i tried ipconfig in dos prompt but i jsut get "Windows IP Configuration" thats it...nothing else.
 
ipconfig DOES tell you your ip.

on the line saying "ip address"

or if you have the network connection icon on ur taskbar, double click on it and look at the support tab.
 
Can always type ipconfig/all in the prompt to get info for all your network cards and their IP addresses.
