I have winxp home edition and I am trying to get it back on to the web using IE. Seems that I can ping the local host but can't ping an ip number. When I look at the local area connection it is connected. When I run IE it starts to locate the site then switches to trying to find another site incredifind.com it spins until sight not find comes back. I saw Virtual Bouncer and removed it. I tried to connect to aim and it just went to log in and never connected. I'm wondering if I am missing the obvious here. I'll take any suggestions. I normally work on windows 98 so feel a bit lost in xp world.
