Win XP: How to remove image for folder?

So I had downloaded a bunch of album art for my mp3's... turns out they are too small for my liking. So I used Windows search on my My Music folder and deleted all the icons. However, when I open My Music folder the images (if you view folders as thumbnails) still show the old files. I had manually set the image for each folder a while back.

The problem is, foobar2000 also picks these up as album art, and frankly, I'd prefer other ones. My guess is that they're cached away somewhere; ran CCleaner with no luck. Any advice?

Hmm, sorry. OK this is what I did:

- Downloaded some album art from the internet. Placed these images in the corresponding album in the My Music folder.
- Right clicked the folder, chose that image as the image for the folder. Then changed My Music folder view to thumbnails to see these images.
- Foobar2000 also shows these images in its album art plugin.

This is what I want changed:

- Wanted to get rid of the images, so I used Windows Search to search the My Music folder for images.
- When those images came up, I just deleted them all from the Window Search window.
- However, although these images are gone from My Music, they still appear in the "thumbnail" view and also in foobar.
- They still remain when I put another image in an album folder in My Music.

Question: how do I fix this?

Maybe you missed some of the pics.

try this

well first go to the specfic folder-go to the properites-try the restore defualt button in customize tab-apply

if that doesnt work try this:

go to folder options-click the view tab-click the bubble that says show hidden files and folders-apply
and now go to your music folder and look and see if there are any pictures that look faded out (they start with album art_{XXXXXX}.jpg and delete those. That should restore it back to orginal blank yellow folder look (well it did for me) and then go back to folder options and click do not show hidden files.
