Win XP HOME SP2 or MCE 2005 on my Laptop

I have a Dell laptop and I really do not want to keep "Home" running on my laptop. Since it probably cant handle Vista (1.8ghz 512mb of ram) my choices will be XP Pro SP2 or MCE 2005.

Is there any reason why not to use MCE 2005? I hear that it really is just an addon for XP Pro SP2 anyway.

How about move up to 1GB of RAM and put on Vista Business?

XP Pro will be supported until the end of 2013, so that's a point in its favor over MCE, whose support expires in two years, now that its successor has arrived. XP Pro can also be a domain member, if you end up needing that capability at some point.
