We’re currently investigating an issue related to the forum theme and styling that is impacting page layout and visual formatting. The problem has been identified, and we are actively working on a resolution. There is no impact to user data or functionality, this is strictly a front-end display issue. uncle gave me his comp to fix... when i log into xp, i get logged out automatically... it doesnt even show the desktop.. it just does the loading sequence and boots me out.... i've tried safe mode already.. same thing

If this is what I suspect it is, we've answered this one quite a bit - search for userinit.exe in the tech / os forums for the writeup. Basically, you want to remove anything in front of that (the path) where in appears in the registry. You'll need to do this remotely, from another Win2k-xp machine, or you'll need to put the original registry back in place via the recovery console (or use a backup from system restore, booting via BartPE, for example) to get access to do this. (Remotely is easier.) Give that a try first and let us know how it goes.
